We had a special guest in this month.
Her name is Flat Kate and she was sent from Sunset Hills Elementary School/Omaha/Nebraska/USA.
She visited our school and our town.
We have a traditional collaboration between the two schools.
Last time it was our turn to send Flat Kati (made by the second graders) to Omaha.

ROMANIA IN THE TWO WORLD WARS
We had common history classes with our American friends.
They are from Elmwood Middle School/Rogers/ Arkansas and Heritage High School/Rogers/Arkansas.
We were discussing about the two World Wars, and how was involwed Romania in these wars.
It was also very important for us to know each other, and to know the other's culture better.
Thank you to Goga Enikő and Koós Kinga, our Mikes teachers, for cooperation.

REGIONAL CONFERENCE
On 02.03.2012 it was organized a regional conference in our town, by our local branch of association.
The theme was DEVELOPING READING SKILLS IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY.
There were librarians from Brasov-, Harghita-, Bacau- and Covasna County. We were looking for new ways to attract our students to read.
The reading became an important problem in Romania.
The latest PISA search shows that we are on the very last places in Europe.
