School Librarian Meeting in Mikes

Developing reading skills was the title of the meeting.

After Márton Csaba's (Székely Mikó Kollégium) little presentation about a library soft we started the meeting with   Mrs.Linda Ward, retired media specialist from Bryson Elementary School/Texas. She presented her best tools and activities on reading development.
Then Mrs. László Emese presented the "Best School Library of 2014" contest, where school libraries from our region received a lot of prizes.

Carolyn Walters the school librarian of the  Cove Creek Elementary School /North Carolina woke up so early only for us and presented her own methods about developing reading skills.
At the end Kiss László, the host of the meeting presented the online catalogue of the Mikes Kelemen High School Library.  (You can find the catalogue on the blog of the Mikes Library.)

We conquered the library!

At last, on 9th of Mai, our 1st grader students conquered the Mikes Kelemen High School Library!
They knew the most of the letters, that's why it wasn't any problem for them to become our readers when we celebrate the Europe Day.

During an interactive program our students met our library, the rules of the library, and they have the opportunity to show their reading skills. At the end of the program they lent books and received gifts from the librarian.

Our children were very happy that they become members of the Mikes Kelemen High School Library's reading community. We thank you to our schoolmasters Galaczi Olga, Dali Judit Zsuzsannna and Kelemen Aurelia for the cooperation!
