INTERNATIONAL PROJECT: A POEM A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY!

Since it began in 1995 Eurochild has published the work of thousands of young poets and artists from all over Europe in the Eurochild Anthology of Poerty and Art. Participating countries include France, Germany, Malta, Portugal, Italy, England, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, the Ukraine, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Finland, Slovenia, Georgia, Romania, Spain and of course Ireland!
The book is a cultural shapshot of a moment in time through the eyes of a child and has become an important document of issues that directly effect children in today's world .
Poetry submissions can be made from children up to 12 years of age from all over the world. Children are encouraged to write in their own native language about any issue that may be of interest to them. Poems must be written in the childs native language. The anthology is launched in Cork in June each year and the deadline for entries is Febuary of the same year.
If you are under 12 and would like to have your poem in Eurochild click here to download an application and send your entries to Eurochild, Tigh Fili, Popes Quay, Ireland, Cork.
